LJFW 2016: the spectacle was closed on the last day by Maja Ferme, Young@Squat and Petja Zorec

The Ljubljana Fashion Week ended with yesterday's fashion shows by MAJA FERME fashion, Nejc Šubic, Sanija Reja Aske, Young@Squat, N atasa H rupic and Petja Zorec. Selected creations can already be purchased in the ZOOFA shop, EBER fur creations in their boutique, selected pieces of the MAJA FERME fashion collection also in her boutique, selected pieces of other brands (N atasa H rupic, Nejc Šubic, Petja Zorec, Sanija Reja Aske, Tina Gorkič and Young@Squat) will be available in Pentlja Concept Store in September.

How the designers presented on the third day describe their collections:

MAJA FERME fashion (Maja Ferme); collection name: STUDIO 77

"The collection celebrates a woman who is like a jewel. Luxurious fabrics in rich color tones invite fun, socializing, laughter and pleasure. They softly wrap the body, provide a pleasant feeling of warmth and allow a woman to feel precious.”

Nejc Šubic (Nejc Šubic); collection name: Semiloner

"In the Semiloner collection, as a counterweight to the unnecessary embarrassments and ailments of asociality, the 'Peterpan' complex of indifferent and irresistible aesthetics of skater culture breaks through. In young men's clothing, serious functionality merges with unnecessary, almost decadent details that show off the lifestyles of young people. Strong pieces are drowned in pastel colors and motifs from their own past and present. Throughout the collection, sporty pieces are placed alongside classic cuts with an emphasis on comfort and independence. Mixing natural and artificial materials with various printing, embroidery and knitting techniques add a spontaneous story with a touch of city life to even the basic pieces."

Sanija Reja Aske (Sania Reja Aske); collection name: Buona Serata Marla!

You met me at a very strange time in my life.

Young@Squat (Barbara Krmelj, Maja Leskovšek, Sara Valenci and Timotej Bistan); collection name: S IX

“Young@Squat presents a joint collection for the resort season, continuing the path outlined by the Fall-Winter 16/17 collection. The striking couple Vincent and Christina continue to inspire us with their character and chameleon image. This time, the focus is on individual pieces and the details that define them. The aesthetics of the individual author meet in the lively styling, the simple material is expressive, and the tailoring details with volume and texture. In the spirit of the modern way of dressing, men's and women's pieces are mixed."

N atasa H rupic (Nataša Hrupič); collection name: FORMA | DEFORMATION

"The collection is based on two assumptions; on the shape of the body and the physicality of the clothing. It was created on the basis of forms and shapes, perfectionism and proportions that accompany the body in various poses and contortions. The research was transferred from the three-dimensional sculptural and sketch medium to the textile, knitting medium. Refined shapes, carefully composed of lines, and a clear visualization - the form of the body on the garment - were created. Outerwear continues the linear interpretation of physicality. The clothes are constructed in such a way that each incision is planned in a place that does not deform the basic form of the silhouette and preserves the physicality. There is a strong emphasis on the functionality of the clothes, which includes natural, body-friendly materials, and on the color palette, which is based on color shades for more combination options. Motif design: Tomislav Blažević.”

Petja Zorec (Petja Zorec); collection name: He who has been bitten by a snake fears every rope.

"The 17SS collection presents an exploration of the symbolism and physical properties of snakes through natural cuts, textures, patterns, textile manipulation and silhouettes in a humorous way. The men's collection flirts with the works of controversial members of the movement zoot suite with a modern touch and playful details. Are we afraid of these elusive creatures because we do not understand their movements? Cold to the touch, unpleasant scaly structure of their skins, warning or camouflage colors? Do we cultivate an aversion to everything we don't know/understand best? Or maybe we are only afraid of individual similarities with those "snakes" that we carry in ourselves and perceive in others?"
