The German airline Lufthansa has also joined the concern for the environment. Modern home furniture and fashion accessories have been created from discarded aircraft parts, and the project is called the Lufthansa Upcyling Collection.
A German airline has also joined the initiative to preserve the Earth Lufthansa – that's how they started the project Lufthansa Upcycling Collection, in which they made home furnishings and fashion accessories out of decommissioned aircraft that would otherwise have gone to landfills and been recycled for years.
After "retiring" the Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 D-AIHO this year, the airline commissioned designers and recycling experts to reuse the original materials, which they then created coffee tables, wall bar, hour and decorative sculpture. The collection also includes fashion accessories (bags, hour, luggage tag), made from security cards, seat covers, blankets, window frames, etc.
As the company explains, aircraft cabins are made of high quality materials, which would be a shame to throw away, because they are durable and offer the opportunity to make them unique products. Each piece has its own story.
Product prices start at 25 euros, which you will deduct for the luggage tag, and the most expensive thing will be the unique "flying" coffee table, which costs 2999 euros. You can buy a collection of furniture and accessories on their official site!
