Baron Anton Codelli, an inventor who surprised the people of Ljubljana with the first car on the streets of Ljubljana, used to live in the Turn manor house, today Kodeljevo Castle. Today we find a new surprise in the castle – a culinary invention called Luna Park. Foodies know the lunches at Luna Park well, but a glance at the sign in front of the entrance tells a new visitor that he will not be eating a generic vienna and fries here. At Luna Park, they are aware that good food is not possible without quality ingredients, which is why the chef and his "team" are most likely to be seen every morning at the Ljubljana market, where they carefully check what they will use in the daily menu. They adhere to the principle of home cooking using "real" ingredients, which they richly enhanced with culinary influences from all over the world. Every day we are offered a meat, fish or vegetarian lunch, prepared on the spot for each guest individually, and the dishes reveal an authentic taste that cannot be replaced by any soup cube or other "taste enhancer". They bake delicious pizzas in the bread oven or prepare baked goodies in it. There is also a lucky offer of permanent dishes from the menu, and we must stop by the refrigerator with homemade sweets. Soon we can also expect a varied range of salads. On special occasions, we think of more privacy in the castle bedroom on the first floor, and when choosing food, we let the Luna Park team's imagination run wild.
