We are almost in the most beautiful month of the year for many, Advent has begun, most of the cities are already decorated. Are you getting a shopping spree? Do you want to decorate your home with thousands of new things?
To avoid unplanned expenses, here are some innovative ideas for decorating with recycled materials that will save you money and break the vicious cycle of consumerism.
Best of all, you already have these items at home!
Decorated glasses
First, clean the glass and dry it well. Paste the desired paper motif on the outside, but do not tighten it too much. Then paint the glass with gold, silver or white paint. Wait for it to dry, then carefully peel off the motif.
You can also leave the glasses transparent and stick only Christmas motifs from collage paper on them. Place a candle in the glass and fill it with sweets.
Cardboard or paper balls
Old cardboard and greeting cards can be reused to make impressive Christmas wreaths and decorations. All you have to do is cut an old card into two circles, fold each one and glue the backs of the folded halves. Stick a string in the middle so you can hang them on, say, a Christmas tree, the front door or somewhere else, and you can add lights to complete the impression.
Decorations from old light bulbs
Dilapidated light bulbs can be a great Christmas decoration. Coat them with glue and roll them in glitter. Glue a string or a thicker thread to the top and hang it on the Christmas tree.

Clean them up. Make a scarf out of fabric or paper and cut out a nose in the shape of a carrot. Draw the eyes and mouth with a black felt-tip pen and glue the paper accessories. You can fill the empty glasses with various candies and chocolates.
Wreath made of old fabric
You can make a wreath for the front door from old fabric. You need old t-shirts, scarves or any other item of clothing, hot glue and a basic wreath made of styrofoam or wooden branches. Cut the fabric into strips 3 cm thick and 20 cm long. Tie the fabric into knots and glue with hot glue or tie around the wreath. Place a satin or velvet bow on the bottom.
