Franja Marathon 2016 is approaching. The biggest recreational cycling event in Slovenia will take place this year for the 35th year in a row! At the three-day event (from June 11 to 12, 2016), when a river of cyclists will flow through Ljubljana and its surroundings - young, old, perfectly, well and slightly less prepared - five cycling trials will take place. The holiday will traditionally open Friday's time trial from Ljubljana to Domžale, and the action will reach its boiling point on Sunday, when Velika (156 km) and Mala Franja (97 km) will be on the schedule. In Sandwich, there will also be a family-school marathon and a test for children in BTC.
Franja Marathon 2016 is in a low start. The largest recreational cycling event in Slovenia it is right outside the door. The first "clap" will fall already on Friday, June 11, 2016, a veil over 35. This time, the marathon is presented in a slightly changed external image, and the route of the family-school marathon, which this time is also run in Sorry, because after last year's great experience, he wanted more cyclists to visit them.

Although many cyclists eager for "blood" (read: results) have been going to Franjo for years, the marathon has turned into a true festival of fun in the last decade, but it retains its cycling soul. Participants will be able to choose between five performance tests. It will be on the first day driving on time on relation Ljubljana–Domžale–Ljubljana, length 22 or 44 km, followed on the second day Hofer, the family school marathon (25 km) and A mutual test for the youngest (1.5 km), and the icing on the Franje cake will be the Sunday marathons, which are already "over the years", namely Great Franja BTC City Marathon (156 km) and Small Marathon Franja BTC City (97 km). A varied accompanying program and a wide range of cycling equipment are also promised.
This year, at an event in the style of large international cycling competitions, the most successful cyclists will also be awarded t-shirts for the first time, namely yellow to the absolute winner of Velika and Mala Franja, spotted the fastest and the fastest on the climb to Kladje will ride their bikes, shirt Hofer and to the winner of the flying target at the Hofer branch on Kranjčeva Street.
