Fashion houses bring the past to life. The new ad for the perfume of the fashion house D&G was created by Martin Scorsese, while Chanel used Marilyn Monroe to advertise the perfume Chanel No.5.
Perfume ad Dolce&Gabbana The One is a short black and white film by a cult American director Martin Scorsese, in which the two actors appear Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.
Also Chanel was looking for inspiration to advertise his famous perfume Chanel No. 5 in the past. The diva Marilyn Monroe even during her lifetime she declared herself a fan of Chanel No. 5, as she stated in an interview that she only wears Chanel No. 5 to bed. So Chanel decided to create an ad consisting of Mariyln's recordings and an as yet unreleased soundtrack recording of the said interview.
Now the question arises about the ethics of using a deceased person for advertising purposes. What is your opinion; is it a tribute to the actress or a tasteless marketing move?
