The more affordable Maserati Ghibli is a direct competitor to the holy trinity: BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It has a changed name, a slightly different look and some new technology added. From now on, you can hear the name Maserati Ghibli GranLusso.
Refreshed Maserati Ghibli GranLusso will be presented at the motor show in Chengdu, where it will be brought to its Chinese and world premiere. The changes to the exterior are purely cosmetic, but what stands out the most are the modified ones front part. Chrome inserts they connect Ghibli to the greater Levante and more sporty GranTurismos. The rear is only slightly modified, with different lights and some additional curves in the bumper.
The newly added technology covers completely active LED-headlights with matrix technology and something assistance systems, which are better known to be there than actually observed at work. There are no changes under the hood, the strongest 3-liter V6 engine has 345 horsepower, with an order of the sports package S and this power rises to 404 horsepower. All this power is transmitted through 8-speed automatic transmission. There are practically no changes in the interior, but as is usual with Maserati, it remains luxurious and how comfortable.
