Almost two years have passed since the presentation of the exciting Maserati MC20 coupe, and the latest news from Italy came just in time, just before another heat wave. Namely, the Maserati MC20 Cielo was introduced, which represents the convertible version of the already familiar coupe.
Maserati MC20 Cielo is the latest version of the Italian super sports car. The MC20 also uses Cielo 3.0 liter engine Nettuno V6, which produces 620 horsepower and 730 newton meters of torque. Power transmission is provided by an automatic 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the Cielo's top speed is 320 km/h. With reinforcements, the cabriolet has increased strength of the so-called monocoque, and compared to the coupe, it is heavier by only 65 kilograms. The additional strength of the monocoque is needed due to the movable roof that opens and closes in 12 seconds. Most of the roof is made up of chromatic glass, which changes from completely transparent to ʺcloudyʺ, with just some electricity and a simple push of a button.
