Face masks have become a necessity, so we must pay special attention to their quality, as well as to changing or washing them regularly. Although it was hard to get used to at first, it is now an integral part of our everyday life. In addition to the usual medical masks, many prefer to wear washable masks made of different fabrics in different colors and patterns.
Marianne de Groot-Pons, a graphic designer from the Netherlands, took it a step further and designed biodegradable mask for the face that contains seeds, so plant it after use and grow flowers from it.
Marie Bee Blooms Face Masks, are handmade from biodegradable materials and protect just like other masks. The ear cords are made of sheep's wool, and the seed embedded in the mask is environmentally friendly and unprocessed. The ink used to print the logo is also environmentally friendly. When you decide not to wear the mask anymore, plant it in the ground and a plant will grow in that place. At a time when the whole world is flooded with garbage, this is one of the positive stories and a great example of product design.
