McLaren celebrates 60 years with the unique McLaren 750S MSO, which combines a historic winning formula.
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has created an ultra-limited 750S model that celebrates the brand's 60th anniversary and its historical achievements. Called “3-7-59”, this special edition combines the color schemes of three legendary McLaren racing cars – the M16D, MP4/2 and F1 GTR that won the Triple Crown. The color scheme uses more than 20 colors, with the front part in a white and red theme (F1 car), the middle part in gray (Le Mans car) and the rear part in orange (Indy 500 car).
The model is powered by the M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the 720S, which produces 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Capabilities include acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 2.7 seconds. McLaren will build only six examples of this edition, all of which have already been sold
The interior of the vehicle is equipped with the Triple Crow symboln, white contrast stitching, a hidden plaque honoring the brand's F1 successes and hand-painted carbon shift paddles in MP4/2 colour. Additionally, the interior is lined with a special Alcantara cover with orange stitching and the Triple Crown logo. The pedals are finished in white, black and orange.
McLaren CEO Michael Leiters emphasized that the “3-7-59” theme is inspired by the brand's heritage in motorsport and supercars, making it the most challenging project MSO has undertaken to date.
Special edition 750S boasts matte black wheels and tri-color brake calipers in red, blue and gold. There are Triple Crown logos on the doors, and each color scheme has QR codes that allow users to access information about each race car. McLaren states that the special edition will cost more than 700,000 dollars, which is considerably more than the standard starting price $329,500 for the 750S.
