The McLaren Project Endurance is an LMDh class race car for the 2027 WEC season – in partnership with Dallara, with a hybrid twin-turbo six-cylinder, a Le Mans deal and an exclusive two-year track programme, all for a select few.

If you dream of Le Mans live, it will be McLaren Project Endurance came like a bolt from the blue. It's not just a race car – it's an invitation to become part of its story. But wait – the real drama is just beginning on the track.

An invitation to the world of real racing

McLaren Project Endurance is not a rebadged sports car – it is a LMDh hypercar, almost without compromise, built for top endurance races such as the FIA WEC 2027 and of course the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It is an exclusive partnership between McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing – external customers will have a near-racing experience, rather than just being spectators.

Technical wizardry: Dallara chassis & hybrid power – McLaren Project Endurance

Under the bridge sits a carbon monocoque chassis, designed by the famous Dallara, an expert in endurance chassis.
Source of power: LMDh-limited hybrid drive with a twin-turbo V6 engine supplemented by an electric module, with a total output of around 662 kW (~900 hp) or 671 horsepower / 500 kW according to FIA limits.

Of course, the drive is only to the rear wheels (RWD), without ABS or ESP – a true racing experience.

Gold-plated package—Le Mans, tracks and technical support

Buyers get more than just a race car:

  • The first ticket for testing – you participate in development, monitor the progress of tests
  • Arrive-and-drive package: hit the best tracks in the world, with a coach and McLaren engineers by your side
  • Two years of racing program – everything covered, from pit crew to race logistics

Zak Brown, McLaren Racing CEO: "This customer program will offer buyers an incredible chance to own an authentic race car and get closer to the action on track."
Nick Collins, CEO McLaren Group: "This isn't about replicas or tributes. It's about giving a select few the keys to something real."

Escape to the past: Ghost 1995

In 1995, McLaren entered Le Mans with the F1 GTR and immediately took first place – the greatest triumph in the brand's history in endurance racing.
Now, 30 years later, in celebration of a legendary generation, McLaren is once again bringing racing to the heart of its identity – and giving customers the chance to become part of that heritage.

How does it differ from the “road car” experience?

While hyper-road-ready versions like the W1 or Senna GTR offer top-notch performance, Project: Endurance is a pure race car – without road homologation, with a full aerodynamic weight package, servos and PIDs optimized for endurance.
It's a serious transition - from street experience to racing. You go to the track and you can see with your naked eye that you're in a machine built to win.

Limited number, high price

McLaren will only offer a very limited number – there is talk of only around 10 racing cars for customers (some sources say “strictly limited numbers” and current plan is around 10 units).
The price is not officially known, but analyses show that it is in the region of several million $. It is a hat-trick: hypercar + exclusive experience + part of the WEC team.

Conclusion: McLaren Project Endurance

McLaren Project Endurance is not just a race car, it is a work of art in a blazing fire – a screaming exclusive and the ultimate experience for those who live and breathe racing. It is about a deeper dive: participation in development, optimization, testing and of course – personal Le Mans.

Price? Probably more than currency – it’s social prestige, a link in McLaren’s racing history and a ticket to the world of endurance racing. As Jan Macarol says: “just look at the way the engine moves on the left side – the heart beats as if through a prism of fear.”

For those who dare, Project: Endurance is a dream come true – literally. But it begs the question: are you ready to go all the way to red? The question is: who decides to do it? I say – if only they come…
