The McLaren W1 brings a new peak in the history of supercars. With 1,275 horsepower (937 kW) and brutal acceleration, this ultimate supercar reaches a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) and offers the best of McLaren's racing heritage and Formula 1 technology. The McLaren W1 is not just a supercar - it is an engineering masterpiece interweaving power and game-changing aerodynamics.

McLaren W1 he is not merely a successor to the legendary F1 and P1 – is something completely new. This model, the latest from legendary series "1" of cars, brings what it is McLaren always wanted to achieve: ultimate perfection. The W1 is designed with the mindset of a world champion, with every component of the car serving its purpose - achieving uncompromising performance on road and track.

Hybrid power and a record-breaking V8

Heart McLaren W1 it is brand new MHP-8 V8 engine that develops 928 PS and reaches dizzying heights 9,200 revolutions per minute. But that's not all - the W1 also uses the E-module, an electric motor that adds extra 347 horsepower, which brings together power 1,275 hp (937 kW). This is the highest power McLaren has ever produced, meaning the W1 is more powerful than any of its rivals.

Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h (0-124 mph) is only 5.8 seconds, to 300 km/h (186 mph) and in less than 12.7 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 350 km/h (217 mph), and from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. Which means the W1 is McLaren's fastest-accelerating and fastest-driving road-legal car to date. Few cars in the world can compete with such performance.

Lightness is the key

What really stands out at W1, is its weight - or lack of weight. With total mass 1,399 kg (3,085 lbs.), the W1 achieves the best power-to-weight ratio at 911 PS per ton. This is thanks to McLaren's extensive knowledge of lightweight materials engineering. Their "less is more" approach brings use carbon fiber in every corner of the vehicle – from the chassis structure called Aerocell, to unique ones Anhedral doors that improve aerodynamics.

Aerodynamics from Formula 1

As with previous models, McLaren relies on aerodynamic innovations from Formula 1. The W1 brings a completely new concept adaptive aerodynamics, where the ride height is lowered by 37mm front and 17mm rear, which enables an optimal position on the road or race track. The car develops up to 1,000 kg thrust (downforce), which enables incredible stability at high speeds and perfect control in corners.

System McLaren Active Long Tail, which extends the rear wing by 300 mm, is a key element of the aerodynamic strategy. It acts as an extension of the diffuser, increasing the pressure in the rear and allowing the car to stick to the road like superglue, while the system DRS reduces air resistance and increases speed on the flats.

A chassis for all occasions

W1 is equipped with Race Active Chassis Control III a system that enables superior performance both on the road and on the track. Drive is in mode Comfort smooth and comfortable while mode Ducks transforms the W1 into a real racing monster that drives down the track with extreme precision.

McLaren's traditional hydraulic steering performance it brings an unbeatable connection between the driver and the car. With this system, the W1 fully meets the philosophy of a true supercar, as it keeps the steering wheel disconnected from the engine, which ensures the best possible feeling when turning.

The cabin of the future

It's inside McLaren W1 just as impressive. Designed with the driver in mind, it offers permanent seats, integrated directly into carbon chassis, which enables an unsurpassed connection between the driver and the car. The steering wheel, pedals and primary controls are fully adjustable so that the driver always finds the optimal driving position.
