The Meeting of Two Choreographers in Maribor is a contemporary ballet performance, created as a result of good inter-neighborhood relations between the Maribor and Graz Opera and Ballet Houses. The authorial and co-production project by Edward Clug and Darrel Toulon deals with the peculiarity of choreographic consideration of space and time and its direct impact on interpersonal relationships. The ballet directors, each in their own ballet house, explored with contemporary choreography the differences in environments that arise due to different lifestyles and mindsets, while at the same time seeking possibilities for harmonious coexistence, which are reflected in the aesthetic communication between movement, music and attractive visual image. Each of the two choreographic individuals, with their own life story and experiences, is best suited to finding differences and possibilities for aesthetic coexistence in this geographical space, as they connect not only Slovenia and Austria, but also the wider environment in which they have worked so far.
