The Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC is the first 100% electric car to be launched under the EQ label. This will now denote electric cars of the German brand Mercedes-Benz. As promised by Mercedes, the EQ car series will also boast quality, safety and comfort, and at the same time, the EQ brand will be a pioneer in the field of electric car design.
Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC has a built-in lithium-ion battery with capacity 80 kWh, which has enough energy for up to 320 kilometers driven. If we connect the EQC to a charging station with power 110 kW, the battery will be from 10 to 80 % filled in 40 minutes. They take care of the drive two asynchronous electric motors, one for the front and one for the rear axle, which also enables four-wheel drive 4MATIC. The total power produced by the two electric motors is 300 kW respectively 408 horsepower and 765 newton meters of torque. This is enough to EQC from 0 to 100 km/h accelerated into less than 5 seconds, and the top speed should be 180 km/h.
EQC will support driving with with one pedal, because it will be possible to set several levels recovery and thus the braking force of the car while not pressing the 'gas' pedal. In addition to the latest system MBUX we will find more in the electric newcomer heat pump, with the help of which we will be able to summer the car before starting to drive cooled down, and in winter heated up. That the EQ series will differ from other vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz brand is already visible on the first view. It has a large front grille black background, everything is connected to the headlights and combined to the whole. Zadek suggests that it is about crossover, as its roof slopes down slightly and ends with an added one spoilers.
The interior of the electric Mercedes is surrounded by high quality materials and technologically completely at the level of other cars of this brand. There is the already familiar MBUX system and two 10.25-inch screens that together form large digital display surface. The Mercedes-Benz EQC will be on the market from 2020 onwards, and its direct competitors will be Jaguar i-PACE, Audi e-tron and BMW iX3.
