"Mind the Earth" – an exhibition dedicated to changing the surface of our planet #Google earth

"Mind the Earth" is an exhibition that will be on display at the Danish Architecture Center from November 20 onwards. An exhibition of beautiful yet sobering aerial photographs taken by Google Earth over the past decades is dedicated to the changing surface of our planet.

Exhibition "Mind the Earth" is the result of a close collaboration between urban planner Kasper Brejnholt Bak and writer Morten Søndergaard. Aerial photographs of the Earth show enormous changes to the surface of our planet that have occurred in just a few decades. The exhibition that will from November 20 on view until January 11, 2015 in the Danish Architectural Center, will enchant visitors with photos taken with the help of Google Earth and exhibited in a dark room.

The beauty of the photos that shows the diversity of our planet, but it also carries a warning note. The photographs reveal the alarming changes in the Earth, both in urban and rural areas, as a result of accelerated urbanization and globalization. The photos remind us so natural resources are not eternal and that it is high time we consider what kind of planet we will leave to the generations that come after us.
