Mitsubishi is returning the Mitsubishi Grandis 2025 to the European market after thirteen years, but instead of a large MPV, it now offers a compact SUV. The new generation is based on Renault's CMF-B platform, which means proven technology and driving comfort, disguised in Japanese design with the characteristic Dynamic Shield grille.

The name Grandis means “big and impressive”, which the 4.41-meter-long vehicle does justice to. Its exterior stands out with a black grille and silver accents, while the hexagonal rear design emphasizes modernity and Mitsubishi’s signature style. The elegant silhouette of the Mitsubishi Grandis 2025 is further enhanced by 19-inch wheels.

A cabin that you can customize in seconds

The Mitsubishi Grandis 2025 interior offers five seats in two rows, but its biggest advantage is its flexibility. The rear bench allows for 160 mm of forward and backward movement, which means that the trunk has a volume of 434 liters to 566 liters. If you fold the bench, the space increases to 1,455 liters. The electric tailgate allows you to open it with your foot, which makes it even easier to load things when your hands are full.

Two hybrid drives for different needs

Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Grandis 2025, there are two modern powertrains. The mild hybrid (MHEV) is powered by a 1.3-liter turbo engine with 103 kW (138 hp), available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT transmission. For more demanding drivers, there is a full hybrid (HEV), which combines a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery. The system offers a total power of 115 kW (154 hp), with the vehicle automatically selecting between EV, hybrid and regenerative modes.

Technology and connectivity at a higher level – Mitsubishi Grandis 2025

The digital part of the interior is built around a 10.4-inch screen, which already has the Google system built in. This means access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Google Play store. In addition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, as well as various driving modes (Perso, Eco, Comfort and Sport). You can also unlock, lock or find the vehicle's location using the mobile app.

Security as standard, not as an option

Safety is top-notch with the Mitsubishi Grandis 2025. Equipped with a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, automatic emergency braking and a 360-degree camera, Mitsubishi ensures that family trips always end safely.

Final thought: the right family compromise?

The Mitsubishi Grandis 2025 cleverly combines Renault's proven technology with Mitsubishi's character. It is practical, spacious enough and modernly equipped, making it an interesting choice in the compact SUV class. The price is not yet known, but if it remains competitive (around 28,000 EUR for the base model), the Grandis will certainly be an important player among family cars in Europe.
