The fun animated comedy adventure Hard Nut from the animation team ToonBox follows the adventures of Sandi, a mischievous male squirrel from the park, and his rat friend Frend, who plan an outrageous robbery at a nut shop and in the process become unwittingly involved in a bank robbery carried out by humans.
But don't be fooled by the simple design of the story, because it is squirrel movie something special. It's full of heroes and villains, daring rescues, comedic goofs and classic comedy, and in it colorful company of characters it makes for a crazy ending that's sure to blow our minds.
Another interesting fact... about the director
Director and screenwriter Peter Lepeniotis has been creating professionally since 1993 in the field of animation – he collaborated with studios such as Industrial Light and Magic, Starz Animation, Walt Disney Feature Animation and Pixar Animation Studios in hits, among which are Fantasy 2000 and Toy Story 2. On TV, he worked on Big Idea's 3-2-1 Penguins and Sitting Ducks. He directed the Bolts & Blip series, and before that he conceived, wrote and directed funny a Surly Squirrel cartoon short, which won many awards and after which it was created Hard Nut or The Nut Job.
