In Ben Stassen's animated family adventure, Blisk, a young abandoned cat, seeks shelter from a storm and takes refuge in a mysterious mansion owned by retired wizard Lawrence, also known as Lorenzo the Glorious. The film was based on the so-called attraction film, a 12-minute film from ten years ago called Haunted House.
Wizard Lawrence he shares his fairytale world with many animals and an astonishing collection of devices and preparations that can sing and dance to prepare breakfast. Quickly make sure that too cat Blisk feel welcome; but jack rabbit and Maggie the mouse they conspire to get rid of the kitten. When wizard Lawrence ends up in the hospital, his nephew tries to persuade him to sell the house with a trick. However, the rest of the residents come up with a creepy plan to keep their home: they turn the mansion into a haunted house, with cat Blisk their secret weapon.
Animated film was created on the basis of the so-called "movie attraction" (these usually last 10-15 minutes and are in 4D technique, i.e. in 3D format with special physical effects in the hall itself), a 12-minute film from ten years ago with the title Haunted House. After cartoons Sammy's Adventures and Sammy 2 the creators were looking for ideas for a new film and, as one of the directors and producers says Ben Stassen, they thought the design of the short film was more than adequate. Of course, they had to turn it into a real story that would stand on its own.
