Desierto is a Mexican film signed by Jonás Cuarón, who last served us with the masterpiece Gravity with George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. This time he moved from outer space to the US-Mexico border, and instead of space junk, the main actors, immigrants to the US, are threatened by bullets thrown by an enraged villager (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
Desierta is a Mexican thriller from under your fingers Alfonso and Jonás Cuarón (father and son) on illegal border crossers, who leave Mexico for a better life in the United States. But in the desert they encounter a ruthless killer (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), an enraged and bloodthirsty villager who kills one after another.

The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF), where he received an award from the International Federation of Film Critics (Fipresci).
