Movie Trailer: Kill Your Friends (2015)

Nicholas Hoult in Kill Your Friends (2015).

The British film Kill Your Friends is a mixture of black comedy, crime and thriller, which was "cooked" by Owen Harris according to the recipe of John Niven, who wrote the screenplay, and which he adapted from his own book of the same name from 2008. Set in London in 1997, rising star Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of an overly competitive A&R manager during Britpop's "golden cow" (read hit-making) era.

In the movie Kill Your Friends starring as greedy, ambitious and drugged up A&R manager Steven Stelfox performs Nicholas Hoult, who stepped out of the shadow of other great men of cinema in 2015 and became a big name himself, casting a shadow over others. Last seen in the latest Mad Max, he has moved from the post-apocalyptic world to the golden age of British pop, in 1997, when Britpop groups such as Oasis, Blur and Verve ruled the world and the music/video charts.
