Here's the first trailer for Phantom Thread (2017), Daniel Day-Lewis' last film before retirement. The film is expected to be in the competition program for the prestigious Oscar film awards. If Daniel Day-Lewis takes home the Oscar, it will be his fourth - he has already won the Oscar for the leading actor for his roles in My Left Foot (1989), Blood Will Run (2007) and Lincoln (2012).
The movie Phantom Thread (2017) tells the story of a renowned clothing designer Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis), who in the 50s of the last century complications into a complex relationship with a willful woman (Vicky Krieps). Daniel Day-Lewis announced his retirement earlier this year, surprising a good portion of the film industry. "He is extremely grateful to all his colleagues and the audience who have followed him all these years. This is a personal decision, which neither he nor his representatives will comment on in the future," added his representative for the public.
