MSCHF, an art collective known for its radical approach to art and fashion, revealed one of them with the launch of the handbag “Global Supply Chain Telephone". This project not only combines the aesthetics of four fashion houses - Hermès, Dior, Balenciaga and Celine – but also puts design power back into the hands of workers who are usually hidden in the shadows of big brands.

The beginning of the journey of this unique bag began in Peru, where local artisans received instructions to create a bag inspired by the Hermès Birkin model. But that was just the beginning. The bag traveled from hand to hand - from Portugal to India and then to China, with each factory adding elements specific to Celine, Dior and Balenciaga.

With this project, MSCHF wanted to show how working in factories does not only mean following precise instructions, but also creatively solving problems that the designers did not foresee. “Global Supply Chain Telephone” is proof that the production process can be full of creativity and innovation that is often overlooked.

Moreover, this bag is not only a symbol of the creativity of factory workers, but also a reminder of the complexity of global production chains. By combining elements of different brands in one product MSCHF points to the connection and dependence between different actors in the fashion industry.
