It's not even autumn without music. Falling leaves, shorter days, morning fog, evening teas, soft scarves and warm socks. Autumn is a season that, despite the morning sleepiness and cold nights, has its charms. We have prepared a music playlist for you selected by our editors, on which everyone will find something for themselves. For those minutes when music is most appropriate in autumn: in the car on the way to work, during traffic jams on the city bus, during an evening run or just like that, for a better day.
Fall music playlist or music that our editors believe you should listen to this fall:
1. Beirut – Gibraltar
The American band Beirut, who released a new album No No No in September after more than four years, never disappoints. Their music puts us in a good mood even on a day when nothing is going as it should.
2. Florence + the Machine – Delilah
Florence + the Machine released a new studio album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful this year after four years. We are particularly impressed by the video clip for the song Delilah, which is a few days old, and you will be singing along to it after the first listen.
3. Adele - Hello
In addition to Beirut and Florence, Adele also returned to the scene this year after a long time and immediately started breaking records. Hello became the most viewed music video in the first 24 hours.
4. Sam Smith – Writing's On The Wall
The soundtrack to the new James Bond film Specter is classic Bond, and although Sam Smith had a difficult task of succeeding Adele's Skyfall, he did it well.
5. Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong – Autumn in New York
Because autumn is a time of nostalgia. And because Ella and Louis are forever.
6. Laibach - We Are Millions And Millions Are One
Even if you've never been a Laibach fan, you'll be pleasantly surprised by this piece. The song, which could easily be the soundtrack of a Bond film thanks to Mina Špiler's unique vocals (is it a coincidence that their last album is called Spectre?), also impresses with its video.
7. Torul - Difficult to Kill
You may not be familiar with the alternative electro pop band Torul, but Difficult to Kill is a song whose "sound" will get you hooked - especially when you learn that its creators are Slovenian.
8. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
Although we weren't too fond of The Weeknd at first, we have to admit that Can't Feel My Face is simply infectious. His dance steps in the music video as well.
9. MARA – The Hills (The Weeknd cover)
At the end of September, the Slovenian singer Mara Rogelja sent her rendition of the song The Hills to the world as a foretaste of her upcoming album 2.2, and pleasantly surprised with the original cover.
10. Alessia Cara – Here
The Canadian R&B singer with Italian roots has already released her first (quite successful) album this year, despite being only 19 years old, and Here is a song that simply gets under your skin.
