This week, the redhead La Roux will pass the time with a new song from the upcoming album, Gorgon City is attacking with a potential summer hit, Arcade Fire are warning about gender identity, Die Antwoords have once again provided another musical bizarre, and Glass Animals are impressing with their writing. Bombastic, as befits a new music week.
LA ROUX - LET ME DOWN GENTLY
La Roux has released an emotionally charged yet downright simple music video for new track Let Me Down Gently, the first track from her upcoming album Trouble in Paradise, out July 7.
GORGON CITY – HERE FOR YOU FT. LAURA WELSH
The last single of the electronic tandem Gorgon City may become a big hit this summer, although one would expect more visually from the pleasant piece Hew For You, which will pass the time on the beach, but even lightness has its own charm.
ARCADE FIRE – WE EXIST
Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire have released a video for We Exist, the second track from their album Reflektor, in which a young man confronts his gender identity.
DIE ANTWOORDS – PITBULL TERRIER
The South African band Die Antwoords really knows no limits to imagination and bizarreness. In the new video, frontman Ninja, who also directed the video, is dressed in a grotesque mask of a pit bull that escapes from its owner and goes wild around the city. We won't give you more away, you are invited to watch... and in August South Africans live at Schengenfest.
GLASS ANIMALS – POOLS
Although they will release their first debut album Zaba in a week, the English indie rock band Glass Animals impresses both musically and visually. The video clip for the song Pools is characterized by the richness and originality of the stop motion technique.
