Once upon a time, meals at the table were a social event. There was a happy bee buzzing while eating. Today, everyone is staring at their screen, taking pictures of food and ignoring others. In order to focus on each other again while eating, industrial designer Hung Lu Chan created the Napkin Table, a wearable table.
Napkin Table represents a new concept of eating. A case of portable table for two industrial designers Hung Lu Chan who researched the phenomenon of absence of mind while eating, which has grown with the advent of smartphones and tablets.

Napkin Table gives emphasizing the interaction between the two eaters by physically connecting them. It is an experiment that investigates how technology affects the way we eat, which makes us become increasingly distant from basic communication, such as paying attention to a friend sitting next to us. Chan wants ours again to shift attention to the person next to us.
The 'table' for two is made of waterproof fabric and you hang around the neck. It has a holder for a plate and a glass. You can see how it works in practice in the two videos above.
