There is hardly anyone who does not use a smartphone to watch video. Where do you find it? There are a lot of possibilities. From YouTube to streaming video services and operators' video stores. Some of you will immediately think that there are problems with them on Huawei phones. There aren't any. They are only challenges, and those are solvable.
During the holidays and the first month of the new year in general, we have more time for interesting series or movies. Popular romantic or Christmas movies are often on television programs at this time. You can also find them on streaming services, which are slowly becoming the main source of various video content. Understandably, this makes us want to access them from our smartphones as well.

Installing the YouTube app may be a bit more challenging for some. It is not installed on more modern Huawei phones, and you will also look for it for free in the official store AppGallery. But this does not mean that you cannot use the services on them. An easier way is to access YouTube via a mobile browser. Thus, basic needs are met, which will be sufficient for less demanding people. But not everyone. Especially not if you want more advanced features that only the app offers.
The solution is provided by the GBox application, which you can find and install on newer Huawei phones, among which the flagship phone is currently the most interesting P60 Pro, bendable Mate X3 and models of the mid-range phone family new 11. Because it's so easy to use, you don't need to understand exactly how it works. It is enough to know to enable access to Google services and applications. Which means access to everything you can't find in the official AppGallery store. You will be interested in something else. To deliver what it promises, GBox runs in the background all the time, but it doesn't degrade or interfere with the user interface or the apps installed.
Applications from Slovenian operators and streaming services are also available
However, YouTube is far from the only video service that we want or expect. Since we also don't want to miss an important sporting event or a popular show, we expect the possibility to watch it retrospectively. Subscribers of our operators can rest easy because the applications A1 Xplore TV, EON TV (Telemach), Neo Smart Life (Telekom Slovenije) and T-2 tv2go they are all listed in the AppGallery store. There's also a native subscription video provider app Voya, which fans of reality shows and drama series of Slovenian commercial television will be especially happy about.
Foreign streaming video services remain. Applications for Amazon Prime Video, Curiosity Stream, Disney+, HBO Max, NBA League Pass, Mubi, Nebula, Netflix, Plex, Pickbox Now and others are adapted to work on Huawei phones and published as such in the AppGallery store, or its search engine offers you a link to a website from which the searched can be downloaded and installed. Either it's the developer's website or an alternative APKPure store.

Because we are the GBox app mentioned several times, it is worth looking at how to use it. After launch, it will show you icons on the home screen for direct access to the most popular applications. The first time you decide to install one of them, sign in with your Google account. Because you stay signed in, you don't have to do it again and again later. But how do you solve problems with an installed but malfunctioning application? Simply select the “Clone” cloning option. With this, you have achieved that the application, which you otherwise installed via the AppGallery store, can take advantage of Google Mobile Services (GMS). In the APKPure alternative store, you can find some that will not work normally on Huawei phones because of this, although the search engine of the official store finds them and offers the option to install them. After the cloning or installation process is completed, make a shortcut on the home screen of the user interface to make the application quickly accessible.
In this way we are on Huawei P60 Pro installed Prime Video, Netlix and Disney+ apps and enjoyed their content in high definition. Streaming video services and Slovenian operators are available on Huawei phones, and only some of them require a bit of effort to install them correctly and start using them. Nothing so demanding that anyone skilled in the basic use of modern smartphones would not be able to do it.
