Starting today, new Apple Immersive Video content premieres on Apple Vision Pro. This week, Apple is launching brand new series and movies shot in Apple's extraordinary Immersive Video format, which will be available exclusively on Apple Vision Pro. Apple Immersive Video is a revolutionary storytelling format that uses 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view and surround sound, putting viewers right in the middle of the action.
Apple Vision Pro Immersive Video is an innovative technology that combines the most advanced visual and audio technologies to create extremely realistic and immersive viewing experiences. The technology uses 3D video recordings in stunning 8K resolution, which allows for crystal clear and detailed images. In addition, each image is captured with a 180-degree field of view, giving viewers the feeling that they are actually part of the scene they are viewing.
In addition to the visual component, Apple Immersive Video uses Spatial Audio, which adds an additional layer of realism. Surround sound allows sound to move around the viewer in three-dimensional space, creating a fully immersive experience where sound comes from all directions, just like in real life. Boundless
The new series Boundless, which takes viewers on unforgettable journeys, begins today at 6 pm PT with the episode “Hot Air Balloons”. The next episode of Wild Life, a nature documentary series that brings viewers up close to the most charismatic creatures on the planet, will premiere in August. The Elevated series, which takes viewers through iconic views from breathtaking heights, will launch in September.

With Boundless, viewers take the journeys they've always dreamed of as they meet inspiring people in extraordinary places. In the “Hot Air Balloons” episode, viewers fly over the surreal landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey. In the next episode, “Arctic Surfing,” available this fall, viewers follow a group of intrepid surfers who have moved to the frigid region north of the Arctic Circle in search of winter waves.
Wild Life
In August, Apple will release the second episode of Wild Life, which takes viewers to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, where orphaned elephants find their place in the care of their caretakers, enjoy mud baths and form a chosen family with their human companions and wild elephants that roam free. they move around the surrounding lands. This fall, basketball fans will enjoy a unique look at NBA All-Star Weekend 2024 in Indianapolis with an immersive short film featuring Rising Stars, the Slam Dunk Contest, the first NBA vs. WNBA 3-point challenge, “Stephen vs. Sabrina” and the All-Star match.
The Weeknd
Apple Music Award-winning and seven-time Diamond-certified artist The Weeknd returns to the scene with an immersive experience premiering exclusively on Apple Vision Pro later this year.
Red Bull: Big-Wave Surfing
Viewers will feel the power of the ocean like never before as elite surfers attempt to ride the waves off the remote coast of Teahupo'o, Tahiti. This part is being filmed this summer and will be available later this year.
New possibilities for filmmakers
Apple and Blackmagic Design will enable professional filmmakers to realize their creative visions with a new production workflow for Apple Immersive Video, including a new Blackmagic camera — URSA Cine Immersive — and updated versions of DaVinci Resolve Studio and Apple Compressor. This comprehensive set of tools, which will be available later this year, will help create even more immersive movies and series for Apple Vision Pro users around the world.
