New Audi A3 Sportback: improved excellence

The new Audi A3 is one of the most anticipated automotive novelties of the year, even here in Slovenia, where it occupies a special place in the hearts of buyers. Engineers have made a special effort to prepare the vehicle in which you will get innovations from the upper class. Here we mean mainly assistance systems and an "infomatic" work environment driver, which is taken from models higher in the sales range. But the new Audi A3 Sportback does not remain oblivious in the field of design, where proportional proportions, a family design language and pronounced sportiness prevail. This is reflected in the wide radiator grille and large air intakes, which make the car appear wider and more attractive. The side-shoulder line is also special, which uniquely connects the front and rear lights and adds a special stamp to the overall design.

If anything, then Audi has been paying exceptional attention in recent years light signature their cars. And the new Audi A3 Sportback is no different. Thus, you will recognize the different levels of equipment by the design of the front headlights, namely with an innovation in daytime running light technology, where the signature is created by LED matrix headlights. The exterior is so clearly recognizable and it has a lot of those details that make the observer perceive the premiumness of the model.

The exterior is followed by a spatially and ergonomically designed dashboard, where it is in the center the driver. The designers used elements of Audi models from the upper class, the same with the materials, which are also the same premium and with a special eye for detail. The driver can control the functions of the infotainment system via the LCD display, which in the plus version measures as much as 12.3 inches. Nevertheless, it still has physical buttons available to control the most important or those elements of the vehicle that we use the most. And we can only praise this, because the management is extremely simple. In any case, the driver can also perform most of the functions via the steering wheel, and driving information can be shown to him via the projection system, which provides important information in color projects into the driver's field of vision. It is at the core of the fourth generation connectivity, which is multifaceted. The connection between the Audi A3 Sportback and the smartphone is via the myAudi app, technology Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and via Audi's phone compartment, which connects the phone to the car's antenna and also charges it inductively. Voice control with the Alexa system and the option of locking and are also announced vehicle unlocking with phones with the Android system and thus the possibility of sharing the "key" of the car with friends.

The new Audi A3 Sportback will be available at launch with three engines – one petrol and two diesel with a power range from 85 kW (116 hp) to 110 kW (150 hp), in combination with a 6-speed manual or lightning fast 7-speed S tronic transmission. In the future, the range of engines will be expanded with additional engines, including electrified and quattro versions.

Audi also includes all possible assistance systems: Audi pre sense front, obstacle assistance and lane departure warning are standard. Of course, all other assistance systems are also enabled, with which the car provides excellent driver assistance and thus a high level of comfort.
