The E-tron is the first production all-electric car from Audi, which has a bunch of breathtaking features that will take your driving experience to the next level.

Aerodynamics plays a big role in electric cars, in a new electric car Audi e-tron but it is no different. The external image tries to be despite the SUV shape as low as possible and is thus comparable to a cross between an off-road car and a coupe.

The standard suspension, which lowers the car by 26 mm, but if we find ourselves in the field, we can raise the chassis for 35 or even 50 mm. The wide stance of an electric car Audi e-tron adds to the sporty look, which is further emphasized by the extremely aerodynamic cameras, which serve instead rear view mirrors.

Virtual exterior mirrors they are novelty, which we have not yet witnessed in practice. It's not just a fad, they're that way for a reason aerodynamics. Their surface is compared to classic mirrors for 15 cm² smaller, which means so much less air resistance that we can extend the range of the e-tron by additional 15 kilometers. The cameras transmit the image to two 7-inch OLED screen, which support automatic brightness adjustment and proximity to the surroundings.

Two more components are very important in an electric car. She is the first battery, and the other electric motor. Audi e-tron 55 quattro has two electric motor. The one on the first axis has 125 kW (135 kW- Boost mode) of power, and those on the rear axle 140 kW (165 kW) powers. The total system power thus amounts to 265 kW respectively 300 kW in Boost mode, which is equivalent 408 horsepower.

Boost mode enables maximum capacity batteries and electric motors when that's all we need. It is available to us when the battery is full four times in duration eight seconds. The feeling of acceleration in this case is really amazing and simply something that you should try on your own skin to even know what we are talking about. Battery with capacity 95 kWh is made of 36 modules, and each of them can be replaced in case of failure.

The battery has enough energy for 417 kilometers a long way, and Audi offers a long-term warranty on it eight years or 160,000 kilometers driven. If we fill it with power 11 kW, will be full in 8.5 hours, at power 22 kW and in 4.5 hours. When we have the opportunity to charge with a charging station that has 150 kW of power (currently, according to our information, it is not yet available in Slovenia), and the battery will be full in less than 30 minutes.

Audi e-tron it is equipped with four-wheel drive, which is provided by two electric motors. It is just as powerful as the classic, mechanical quattro four-wheel drive. For the needs of cooling and heating the battery, you need just 40 meters pipes and 22 liters liquids. All this contributes to the weight, which is noticeable in the Audi e-tron electric car. It has 2565 kilograms, and the battery system contributes to this 700 kilograms, which is the approximate weight of the first generation Volkswagen Beetle.

At the start of sales, the Audi e-tron is available in the 55 quattro version, which has the aforementioned 95 kW battery and 265 kW (300 kW) powers. It is available from 83,000 euros further, and digital side mirrors are available for 1772 euros. Audi e-tron is already available for order.
