Right in the center of Velenje, where the everyday life of Velenje residents or random visitors meets, there is a new cafe called Kavarna Nova on top of the shopping center, which will definitely captivate you with its ambiance and homeliness. Under the auspices of the Velenje Design Office, architect Bojan Furk wanted to actually conjure up the pulse of a city street with its hustle and bustle and its associated elements. He managed to transfer the external image to the interior. The space is conceptually divided into two parts or two cafes, which are raised from the rest of the space and differ from each other. The key importance is played by the street, which is colored in gray tones, just like the paving stones on the road. The differences in the space are visible both in the colors and in the interior decoration itself. One inspires freshness, which is why the furnishings are in light tones, the other inspires homeliness, warmth and comfort. If you have the mood, you can comfortably sit in a wicker armchair, pick up one of the newspapers or magazines and simply forget about time. The café also has a terrace, which the architect imagined as a street park, so it is rich in greenery and offers a hiding place from the flirtatious glances of passers-by. After a tiring shopping trip, you can take a moment for yourself and enjoy a caffe creme in peace, which is worth trying and is their specialty. They make it with excellent thick cream, to which they add a bit of frothed milk. Their homemade pastries will also definitely tempt you.
