DJI has unveiled its most ambitious drone yet – the new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025. This beauty combines futuristic design, technical brilliance and performance that would put even a €100,000 helicopter to shame. But Americans? For now, they can only admire it in pictures.
If I had to describe the new one in one phrase... DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025, I would say: “This is no longer a drone. This is a flying film studio with artificial intelligence.” And that’s no exaggeration. With its three cameras in a spherical “Infinity Gimbal,” the ability to shoot 6K video at 60 frames per second, and sensors that work in the light of a full moon, the DJI Mavic 4 Pro is the most advanced consumer drone ever. And yes, that includes DJI’s previous masterpieces.
The camera that sees more than you – even in the dark – the new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025
Main camera? 100MP 4/3” CMOS Hasselblad with variable aperture f/2.0–f/11 and 16 stops of dynamic range. That’s more than most cinema cameras.
In addition to it:
- 70 mm telephoto (48 MP, 1/1.3”)
- 168mm super-telephoto (50MP, 1/1.5”)
Video up to 6K 60 fps, 4K 120 fps, D-LogM, HLG, and – watch out – full-resolution vertical video thanks to the 90-degree gimbal rotation. That means: TikTok and Instagram Stories, hello in 6K.

Infinity Gimbal and LiDAR: Movement without limits, sensing without light
The spherical gimbal isn't just there for design. It can rotate in all directions, shoot from unusual angles ("dutch tilt" is no longer just for indie films), and, together with the LiDAR sensor, allows you to fly at night without fear of ending up on a branch.
LiDAR detects obstacles in the dark like a Terminator with night vision. Combined with six fisheye sensors, it detects even in 0.1 lux – enough to fly under a full moon. All this means fewer collisions, more smooth footage and more confident pilots. That's also the new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025.
Autonomy that even Tesla drones envy
The new 95Wh battery allows up to 51 minutes flights for new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025. In practice, this translates to 40-45 minutes of recording. And if that's a long time for you, let's also say that the battery charges in just 51 minutes via USB-C. With the Fly More kit (3 batteries), you can practically be in the air for an entire afternoon.
RC Pro 2: The remote that Apple wants for its iPad
DJI has proven with the RC Pro 2 remote control that it can also make a top-notch user interface. A 7-inch HDR screen that folds, rotates, and even automatically adjusts the camera angle. HDMI and USB-C outputs, Wi-Fi 6 transfer up to 80 MB/s – this is not a remote, this is a control station.
In practice: A mechanical beast that surprises with elegance
The new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025 can fly up to 90 km/h in sport mode. It's not as agile as the Mini 4 Pro, but it can follow a car at 50 km/h without any problems. The new ActiveTrack 360 system allows for precise tracking of objects even through forests, around trees, and even at night. Engadget's Steve Dent says the drone moves like a director who knows what he wants - with the occasional bump into a branch, so we don't forget that it's still a machine.
Video and photo: A picture that says “wow”
Hasselblad's 100 MP camera captures incredibly sharp and color-balanced images. D-LogM offers professional dynamic range with less complex color processing than classic D-Log. The camera also offers All-I H.264 recording at 1,200 Mbps (in the Creator Combo package) - meaning less compression, better for editing.
Photos at 100 MP? Zoom in to an ant and you can still see it. For night shots, however, 25 MP is a better choice, with less noise and more detail.
Key innovations and technical specifications – the new DJI Mavic 4 Pro 2025
- Triple camera system with Hasselblad 100 MP main camera: The main camera with a 4/3 CMOS sensor allows recording in resolutions up to 6K at 60 frames per second and 4K at 120 frames per second. The additional two cameras include a 48 MP medium telephoto lens (70 mm) and a 50 MP telephoto lens (168 mm), both with improved sensors for better light sensitivity.
- 360° “Infinity Gimbal”: The new design allows for full rotation of the camera around its axis, allowing for vertical shooting, “dutch angle” shots, and camera tilt up to 70° upwards.
- Advanced video support: All three cameras support D-Log, D-Log M, HLG and standard profiles, enabling uniform color processing and professional color correction.
- Extended flight time: With the new 95 Wh battery, the drone achieves up to 51 minutes of flight time, which is the longest flight time among DJI's offerings.
- Improved security: Omnidirectional sensors with a sensitivity of 0.1 lux enable obstacle detection even in low light, operating at speeds up to 18 m/s (approximately 65 km/h).
- Advanced tracking features: ActiveTrack 360° allows you to track subjects even when they are partially obscured and detect vehicles up to 200 meters away.
- Internal memory: The base version includes 64 GB of internal storage, while the “Creator Combo” offers 512 GB of SSD storage for faster data transfers.
- New RC Pro 2 remote control: With a 7-inch Mini-LED display that can rotate for vertical recording, as well as a built-in microphone and 128GB of storage, this controller enhances the user experience.
