This year, Mazda brought several innovations to Geneva, of which the new generation Mazda 5 is certainly attracting the most attention, which will continue the successful path of its predecessor in pampering European families. The Petka is a family MPV, which is distinguished mainly by these two basic features: double sliding doors for passengers on the rear seats and a 7-seat layout, which Mazda calls Karakuri flexibility. The newcomer will also be able to be equipped with a fresh 2-liter gasoline engine with DISI direct fuel injection. It boasts a built-in i-stop (start-stop system), and power is transmitted through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new engine promises a 15% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions compared to its predecessor. The new model will be available to customers this fall.
