Google, like Apple, bets not only on the specifications of its phones, but also on a smart ratio of common sense and excellent "software". Therefore, it is difficult to expect excellence from Pixel series phones. It is enough for them to be good. It's the new Google Pixel 5!
It is this year Google changed his range of Pixel phones. Namely, the XL model is no longer available. In addition to the "flag bearer" of the Pixel series, a model was also presented Google Pixel 4A 5G.
The new Google Pixel 5, therefore, it is not a full-blooded parade "horse" - a standard bearer, but a premium mid-range phone. The Pixel 5 has a 6-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8MP selfie camera cutout. The screen has extremely thin bezels, which also makes it look more premium. Still, the "best" Pixel also has stereo speakers. On the back of the Pixel 5 smartphone you will find the "same" camera as its great-great-great-grandfather - the Pixel 2. The main camera thus has 12.2 megapixels, but it will continue to capture great photos that will passed through even better Google algorithms. It also supports OIS stabilization and can capture video in 4K at 60 frames per second. It is also accompanied by a wide-angle camera with 16 MP.
Inside, the new Google Pixel 5 has the latest mid-range processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of non-expandable internal memory. Support for 5G networks is available, and autonomy will be ensured by a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 18 W fast charging. The Pixel 5 is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and the classic fingerprint sensor on the back is back, which seems almost a "forgotten" thing in the middle class. But that's how it is with Google phones! The official price of the Google Pixel 5 phone will be in the US 700 dollars and in some European countries it should be available for 630 euros. Maybe a few more words about the Pixel 4A 5G, the minor star of last night. Pixel 4A 5G is actually slightly larger than Pixel 5 smartphone, but also somewhat weaker. The Pixel 4A 5G has a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, and has the same processor inside as the Pixel 5. However, it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable internal storage. On the back, the 4A 5G has a 12.2 MP main camera and a 16 MP wide-angle camera, just like the Pixel 5, and an 8 MP camera is hidden in the “selfie hole”. This means that the Pixel 4A is on par with the more expensive Pixel 5 when it comes to camera equipment.
Unlike the Pixel 5, the Pixel 4A 5G has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and while it's physically bigger, it has a slightly smaller battery (3,800mAh) that charges with 18W fast charging. Pixel 4A 5G it does not have IP certification for water and dust resistance. It's made of plastic and not glass like the Pixel 5. Also, because of the plastic, it doesn't have the wireless charging that its bigger brother has.
