Japan's Honda has revealed the fifth generation of the Honda CR-V, a medium-sized SUV, which for the first time in its two-decade history will also be powered by a turbo-petrol engine. In terms of design, it is an upgrade of the current CR-V, placed on a completely new platform. It has a longer wheelbase, a more spacious interior and is generally larger than its predecessor.
The new Honda CR-V (2017) brings more of everything. Compared to its predecessor, it has grown in all directions. The maximum is 41 millimeters more wheelbase, which in combination with a fresh design brings 53 millimeters more legroom for passengers in the second row. The trunk has also expanded, which now has 55 liters more, which means 644 liters.
Fifth generation it retains the silhouette of its predecessor, but the back and front have a slightly more pronounced character. At the front, we can draw some parallels with the new Honda Civic. For the first time, Honda has a CR-V functioning hatches in the bonnet for better aerodynamics at higher speeds. The engineers intended for her series of safety assistance devices, including an emergency braking system, a rear cross traffic alert system and a collision warning system.
