The new Mazda CX-50 is the first car created in joint cooperation between Mazda and Toyota. It will be manufactured in an American factory, and it comes to the market with a slightly more robust design, an attractive interior and electrified engine options.
A new one Mazda CX-50 will initially be available with 2.5 liter 4-cylinder, and is also offered as an additional option 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. The performance of the engines is not yet known at the moment, more will be known before the official arrival in showrooms. Both engines are connected to 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheeled drive. He will join later hybrid engine as well as other forms electrified engines.
Mazda's Mi-Drive system will allow the selection of drive settings, depending on the surface and driving style. The driver will be able to choose between normal and sports mode or the Off-Road option, if he wants to turn off the paved roads. The exterior of the new Mazda CX-50 follows an established design Code, to which they added some ʺoff-roadʺ enhancement. The roof racks and plastic surrounds of the tracks and the front and rear bumpers add to the more rugged off-road appearance.
