Mercedes clearly understood that not every consumer wants to drive an SUV. The last generations of wagons have proved popular, so Mercedes is determined to continue the tradition of the E-Class. At a time when SUVs are still proliferating on the roads, Mercedes remains true to its long-term approach and continues to produce a stylish wagon. The kind that we car lovers really like!

On European soil, Mercedes will first start selling the E200 and E220d models, which will later be supplemented by the E300e hybrid model. The gasoline model E200 boasts a 2.0-liter turbo engine that develops 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The diesel E220d with a 2.0-liter engine develops 197 hp and 440 Nm of torque.
If you need more power, Mercedes will also offer a six-cylinder diesel engine. All engines will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that has been upgraded for this application for better packaging and weight reduction.
The hybrid E300e combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 312 hp. Thanks to a battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh, the electric range in the WLTP cycle will exceed 100 km.
Maybe some more basic numbers - the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate 2024
Equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, the E200 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, with a top speed of 231 km/h. The E220d diesel model with the same 2.0-litre engine can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.
For the E300e hybrid model, where the 2.0-liter petrol engine works in tandem with an electric motor, the acceleration time is reduced to 6.5 seconds, while the top speed is slightly lower at 227 km/h.
Mercedes also announced that in the future it will offer an E-Class Caravan model with a more powerful six-cylinder, for which we expect even better performance numbers.
In addition, we must not forget the announced AMG version. Although no official details have been released yet, there are rumors that the top-of-the-line E63 will be equipped with a V6 plug-in hybrid engine with more than 700 horsepower. This would represent direct competition to the Audi RS6 Avant and the possible future BMW M5 Touring.
We can also expect an All-Terrain version to join the range in the future. We can boast of the new Mercedes E-Class Caravan already this autumn in Europe.
With an elegant design and cutting-edge technology, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon 2024 is a great alternative for those looking for something more than just a regular SUV.
