Mercedes-Benz Vans predicts that by the end of the decade more than half of all vehicles sold will be electric. This is part of their strategy aimed at offering the most desirable vans and services and leading the way in electric mobility and digital experiences.

Mercedes-Benz Vans has made its medium-sized series even more attractive for private and commercial use - with a new exterior and interior design and more comfort, safety and functionality, thanks to the increase in intelligent digital connectivity.

New models EQV, V-Class and V-Class Marco Polo and eVito and Vito represent an important step in the implementation of the recently introduced, refocused business strategy. The goal is to offer the most desirable vans and services, and to provide leadership in electric mobility and digital experiences.

Mercedes-Benz Vans already offers an electric version of each model. To date, more than 40,000 battery-powered vans have been sold. The eVito is the best seller.

“We want to offer the most desirable vans and services and play a pioneering role in e-mobility – from MPVs to motorhomes and commercial vans. Our new mid-size van models are another step towards achieving this goal. A more mature luxury positioning EQV and V-Class and the sharpened premium character of the eVito and Vito will allow us to focus more on high-margin regions and industries,” says Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans.

By improving the attractiveness he wants Mercedes-Benz Vans strengthen the market position of its medium-sized vans. This sets the stage for further profitable growth at the top end of individual segments. In the coming years, new vehicles will not only form the bridge to a complete luxury or premium experience, but also to an all-electric future. A key element for this future is the upcoming innovative driving architecture VAN.EA. It has been specially developed for battery drives and will be introduced from 2026. In the future, all new medium and large vans will be based on it. The launch of VAN.EA is also an important milestone on the way to a CO₂-neutral new vehicle fleet from 2039, which is one of our most important transformation goals as part of our sustainable business strategy Mercedes‑Benz AG.

The entire range has been renewed.

Mercedes-Benz Vans has been involved in vehicle software and digitization for many years. Many products are already in use. Based on previous experience, the Mercedes‑Benz Vans digital strategy will follow a simple but comprehensive three-level approach: Level 1 refers to vehicle-related functions. This includes, for example, those mentioned above. The second level consists of customer-specific digital add-ons. This solution allows customers to integrate vehicles into their specific digital infrastructure. Finally, Level 3 will expand on the existing offering Mercedes-Benz Vans with a selection of standard services and third-party applications that will be integrated into MB in the future.
