By working in the Mazda facility, we plan to obtain a classic car certificate from TÜV Rheinland Japan Co., Ltd. With high-quality workmanship and original equipment, we will be able to deliver fully restored cars to our customers.”
Mazda also cites sales figures in Japan 120,000 original Miata vehicles, and estimates that there are 23.000 still in running condition and lovingly maintained by their customers. Some specimens are true family members or enjoy a special status.
Production will be revived for certain parts, so there will be the original three-spoke steering wheel, the soft top for the first generation and even the tires that the original had Mazda Miata.
