Who would have thought that the Peugeot 208, this lovely French supermini, would end the years of dominance of the Volkswagen Golf? And yet this happened last year, when the 208 became the best-selling car in Europe. Now that we are approaching 2024, Peugeot has decided to improve its champion even more. And we got the first look at those updates, for both the gasoline and electric E-208 models.

Peugeot has also upgraded its 16- and 17-inch wheels with a two-tone diamond cut that hides four screws behind X-shaped caps with a fresh corporate logo. New colors and symbols add finishing touches to the exterior, especially with the new “Basalt Grey” color and “E” badge for the electric model in white and blue.
Inside the cabin, however, Peugeot has kept things pretty much unchanged – and there's nothing wrong with that. 208 it already offered one of the most modern interiors in its segment, thanks to the i-Cockpit. New equipment includes a standard 10-inch touchscreen for all variants, a new digital gauge with a 3D effect in the GT model, and an updated gearbox and steering wheel with a new logo.
Other innovations include improved ambient lighting in to the GT model, new upholstery material (black Alcantara) with green Adamite stitching and additional USB ports in the Allure and GT models. For greater convenience, there is also a more powerful wireless charging plate and high-resolution cameras that make parking easier.

The E-208 model, on the other hand, receives a 156-horsepower electric motor powered by a 51-kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 400 kilometers (or 249 miles).
