The new Peugeot 208 – a refresh of the most popular Peugeot

After three years, Peugeot decided to update the 208 model, which is also the brand's best-selling car. The new Peugeot 208 is expected to hit showrooms at the beginning of summer, with a generous dose of French charm and fresh touches.

Peugeot 208 is definitely one of those vehicles that has already worked extremely fresh and modern. But since the years fly by, Peugeot decided to pay some attention to the city kid anyway and, with a bunch of little things, make the car extremely in touch with the moment and time again. The example of the complete renewal was the recent renewal of the model line 508, where the changes were not exceptional, but still a bunch of little things made a whole and thus a positive design story. If we go into the details, we find that the front headlights are different, which have an interesting dark base and are of course decorated with side led lights. A new front fascia that blends into the redesigned front bumper. And last but not least, the modified rear lights, where otherwise the changes are almost imperceptible. There are still a few small things and everything looks fresh judging by the pictures.

It's full of luxury inside 7 inch screen on the touch screen, but it got a lot of software upgrades. Among other things, it offers a function MirrorScreen, which allows the user to dual display content from their app-compatible smartphone Mirrorlink® or Carplay®. This type of solution offers many advantages, as it ensures a transparent and ergonomic use of mobile applications in a completely safe way through the entire touch screen.

More security in the city

Peugeot 208 of course, now also offers Active City Brake (automatic braking in the city in the event of a collision), which represents a new system for preventing a traffic accident or reducing its consequences, at a speed lower than 30 km/h. Laser detector A short-range sensor (Lidar) mounted on the upper part of the windshield detects obstacles, such as a vehicle traveling in the same direction or standing in front of the vehicle. In this case, it automatically initiates maximum force braking to prevent a collision or limit its consequences by reducing the collision speed.

Refreshment is also brought by the new models - GT Line and GTI by PEUGEOT

The already good equipment package is now joined by two more sexy versions, which are available with a more powerful engine. The GT Line thus brings 17' alloy wheels, chrome accessories, sports seats and a sports steering wheel, as well as bright red stitching on the upholstery. The GTi by PEUGEOT is intended to upgrade the toxic GTi with a lowered chassis, wider tracks, 18' rims and a bunch of exterior details that make the vehicle poisonously sporty.
