RIEJU is returning to its rebellious roots: the new SCRAMBLER 607 is a classic 60s look with modern technology. We first saw it at EICMA 2025 in Milan – and yes, it looks like it wants to steal your Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
If you think that "scrambler" is just a fashionable excuse for straight jeans and coffee with heart-shaped foam these days, RIEJU SCRAMBLER 607 here to remind you where the name comes from: from a ramp over a ditch to a macadam road, no drama. RIEJU has laid it bare on EICMA 2025 (November 4-9), Hall 9, Stand C65, along with an offensive of new models and invitations to completely new segments. "Freedom, style and endless fun," they say at RIEJ – and this time we believe them.
Engine and character: a twin with a Spanish temperament
Under classic sheet metal RIEJU SCRAMBLER 607 hides a modern heart: according to information from the showroom floor, the SCRAMBLER 607 prototype uses the same powertrain as the new Aventura 607 – a 580 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine that develops 64 CV (47.1 kW, 63.1 hp) and 58 Nm (42.8 lb-ft). This is not a figure for a garage pose, but for a real ride – from the outskirts of the city to the dusty shortcut. It is a pre-production prototype, so of course the fine print may change, but the basis is promisingly solid.
Chassis and brakes: old-school looks, modern bite
RIEJU has chosen the “retro outside, modern inside” formula for cycling. The front is a classic bellows fork, behind double shock absorber, the wheels are wired 19-inch front and 18-inch rear – just right for gravel, a bit of trail and a nice stretch of secondary roads. Stopping is ensured by a combination of Nissin with 310 mm discs at the front and 240 mm at the rear, supported by ABSIf the exhibition prototype is anything to go by, it will also be available traction control (TCS) – a welcome safeguard when enthusiasm overtakes grip.
Electronics and lighting: a classic on an LED diet
Iconic round headlight RIEJU SCRAMBLER 607? Yes. A Full LED, because it's better to see and be seen at night. RIEJU predicts a mix of authentic form and modern function for the 607 – this explanation is officially sparse for now, but the prototype clearly shows the direction: minimalism in appearance, pragmatism in practice. This is not a hipster prop, but a driving tool.
Ergonomics and position: wide handlebars, flat seat bench
The seat is level, rudder wide, and the stance is natural – just like the scrambler school says. The purpose? To jump into town in the morning, and in the afternoon with friends on the packed dirt road. RIEJU's design quotes the golden 60s, without tying you to a showcase.

- Known for: RIEJU emphasizes a combination of tradition and progress, and more than 80 years history.

A little brand history lesson and the new "7" chapter
RIEJU is not a brand from yesterday: more than eight decades motorcycle DNA. Now the Spaniards are opening a new chapter – they are incorporating the names of medium and large models number 7, a symbol of excellence and adventure. The Aventura 607 is the first bearer of the new philosophy; the SCRAMBLER 607 logically follows as its more playful, on-road sibling.
Who is it intended for?
- For those who want a classic look without ascetic mechanics.
- For drivers who value soft, full of flexibility parallel twin and connected electronics (ABS/TCS), but they don't want to race with the maximum lean angles every Sunday.
- To everyone who knows that on the "road" confidential communication between wrist, handlebars and rear tire is more important than an Instagram filter.

First ride? Calendar on standby
In Milan it was clear that SCRAMBLER 607 currently a prototype. Some reports mention a potential path to production – tentatively after 2026 – but until RIEJU announces a date, we’re holding our horses (and gas). The good news: the technical basis (engine, chassis) is already defined for the Aventura 607, so the development bridge is logical.
Mini technical frame (pre-production prototype)
- Engine: parallel 2-cylinder, 580 cm³, 64 CV (47.1 kW, 63.1 hp), 58 Nm (42.8 lb-ft) – based on data from the prototype and the related Aventure 607.
- Wheels: 19″ front / 18″ rear, wire wheels.
- Brakes: Nissin, 310 mm front / 240 mm rear; ABS.
- Electronics: TCS (traction control), LED lighting.
- Status: prototype, presented at EICMA 2025 (Hall 9, C65).
Conclusion: a scrambler that understands today and honors yesterday
New RIEJU SCRAMBLER 607 – 2026 – is exactly what you’d want from a serious “neo-retro” motorcycle: a look that would be embraced by any 60s album, and mechanics that need no mercy. In practice, this means: 580 cc twin with a healthy dose of torque, 19/18-inch wheels for an easy trip off the road, and ABS and TCS, that will put your ego in the sand. This is a bike for those who are interested in the ride – not just the looks. Price? For now not published; also final speed and acceleration 0–100 km/h have not yet been revealed, which is quite normal for pre-production prototypes. If RIEJU keeps the skeleton we saw in Milan and refines it with reasonable mass and a good seat, it will SCRAMBLER 607 one of the most authentic yet useful scrambler interpretations in the class. And yes, coffee with milk foam will still be good – you'll just have to turn onto the gravel road sooner.
