These are the new 2021 series coming to small screens in May.

We're hoping that spring may finally be the perfect time for outdoor weekends, but we'll certainly find time to relax during the week with great (new) series from streaming giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and HBO GO. Especially since this month they bring us many interesting innovations that we couldn't wait for. We've rounded up the series we can't wait for and the dust is already rising!

Jupiter's Legacy (2021– )

Netflix returns to the world of superheroes with another series. Based on the book by Mark Miller and Frank Quitito, Jupiter's Legacy follows the first generation of superheroes who gained their powers in the 1930s. It is time for them to hand over their powers to the younger ones, i.e. their children, who are not the least bit interested in what their parents are doing. The series stars Josh Duhamel, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Mike Wade, Leslie Bibbb and others.

You can watch the series on Netflix from May 7.

Halston (2021– )

Ryan Murphy has been churning out hit after hit, and Halston is his latest series. Ewan McGregor will play the role of a fashion designer who broke into the world fashion scene in the 70s and 80s of the last century. The story takes us back to the time of the creation of his luxury brand and its rise, to the time when he hung out with stars like Lisa Minelli every day and got to know the fashion world. But when his company is taken over by corporate entrepreneurs, he must do his best to make a name for himself in the fashion scene.

The series is coming to Netflix May 14.

The Underground Railroad (2021– )

Set in the 1860s, the series follows Cora (Tako Mbedu), a black woman who seeks to escape from a plantation in Georgia using the "Underground Railroad"—a metaphor and an actual railroad. Directed by Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, Whispers of Gentle Streets), the series also features frequent Jenkins collaborators such as producer Adele Romanski, DP James Paxton, composer Nicholas Britell and editor Joi McMillon.

The series is coming May 14, you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video.
