With a 60 kWh battery, a power output of around 204 hp and a price of close to 25,000 euros, the ŠKODA Epiq 2025 could become the most desirable electric SUV for everyday use. If everything goes according to plan, of course.
When a car manufacturer names a new model Epiq, one wonders: “Aren't they a little too confident?” But then the first data, design sketches and promises come in. And then it becomes clear that this little electric SUV could be something more. If Will Skoda manage to put all this into series production without major compromises? If they deliver, for example, a battery of around 60 kWh and a price for this battery below 30,000 euros, they have a winning combination.
Shame on the Epiq 2025, which is supposed to see the light of day in 2025, according to initial information, will offer quite a lot: up to 490 liters of luggage space, more than 400 km range, a new design philosophy, rich digital experience and all this for a price of around 25,000 eurosAnd although it hasn't been confirmed yet, it's said that under the sleek exterior is technology very similar to that of the upcoming Volkswagen ID.2.
But – slowly. These are (for now) just predictions. And we know how quickly things can change in the automotive industry.
Modern in design, but still “Simply Clever” this is the Škoda Epiq 2025
The exterior of the Epiq is the first series-production interpretation of ŠKODA's new design language Modern Solid – a mix of ruggedness, simplicity and practical elegance. Front with an imaginative name Tech-Deck Face It replaces the classic grille with a closed surface that hides the radars and camera. Lights? T-shaped daytime running lights above, Matrix LED headlights below. A visually strong signature complemented by Dark Chrome details and a fresh matte white paint with orange accents on the rims, spoiler and roof.
At first glance, it looks convincing, sporty, but not pretentious. But – it's still a study. The production version may be a bit more subdued. Or maybe not. Who knows? Skoda is clearly taking bolder steps now. The Skoda Epiq 2025 could be a big surprise in 2025!
Inside: fewer buttons, more usability
If the standard interior of the Škoda Epiq 2025 at least roughly follows the design study, we will be in for a very reasonably designed, minimalist space. Two main words: useful and digital. Floating center console, wireless charger, storage spaces for everything and more, and the already known Simply Clever solutionsthat set Škoda apart from the competition.
Steering wheel with physical buttons and haptic wheels It is said to combine classic functionality and a modern approach, while most interaction with the system will take place via a digital interface – and a phone. Yes, Škoda is betting on the approach “mobile first”, which means you'll be able to control the car right from the app. If that sounds great, wait for one more thing: Epiq is said to support two-way charging (V2G)Theoretically, this means you can use it to power your house, camping equipment, or just your laptop while you're camping somewhere in the wilderness.
Under the hood: Škoda Epiq 2025 with up to 60 kWh battery and classic “company-famous” horses
Although Škoda is still keeping the technical specifications a secret, well-informed sources they whisper about 60 kWh batteries and engine with around 204 hp (150 kW) – the classic we know from other models on the MEB platform. Which means: more than enough for city challenges, relaxed highway cruising and maybe some more inspired meandering on country roads. Of course, a car with a smaller battery will be available.
Range? Officially “more than 400 kilometers” (about 250 miles). Realistically? Somewhere between 350 and 420 km, depending on speed, road gradient, and the weight of the shoes on the right foot. Charging should allow for fast charging up to 125 kW, which means up to 80 % capacity in half an hour. This is pretty standard, but still quite usable.
And the price? If it stays like this, the Epiq will be a hit.
The damage is about 25,000 euros for the base model, which is – to be honest – almost too good to be true. But if they manage to keep that price, then we're talking about a serious challenger in a class where they'll also operate Renault 5 E-Tech, Citroën ë-C3, upcoming Peugeot e-3008 and domestic VW ID.2all.
And that's exactly why Epiq is attracting so much attention. Not because it promises something revolutionary, but because it promises balance between usability, reach, design and price – what electric cars still often lack.
Conclusion: Epiq is (for now) mostly a promise. But a very, very promising one.
The Škoda Epiq currently exists mainly in sketches, press releases and design renders. But that alone is enough to create excitement. Škoda knows how to hit the spot where the family utility, urban agility and tech savvy, without breaking the budget of the average European family.
If the production version lives up to expectations, the Epiq will become one of the most interesting models in the new wave of “budget EV” vehicles. But until then, we will have to wait. And pray that the production version at least 80 % of what they are showing us nowIf they succeed, the Epiq will be more than just a new chapter in the Skoda story.
Will he become a legend? We'll see.
For now, this is it – an epic prediction that can change the game.
