New Volkswagen Golf (2017) – new Golf, new start, new momentum

New Volkswagen Golf 2017

The new Golf represents a new beginning and a new impetus for the Volkswagen brand, and even more they want to restore the trust of customers in this brand. The year 2017 will be somewhat offensive for Volkswagen, as they have as many as 10 novelties ready, from renovations to completely new models. They started with the renovation of the legend - here is the new old Volkswagen Golf.

Renovated seventh generation excels bold design, which compared to its predecessor further sharpened, with completely LED rear lights, which are already available with the basic model. Smart technology can be felt in cars more and more often and so new Golf there is no exception. The driver's compartment is now completely digitized, the infotainment system has been completely renovated, and connectivity is even more emphasized, as the Golf enables a permanent connection to the world wide web, through which we can monitor current traffic events, and we even have applications available Google Maps and Google Street View.

Design changes they are not drastic, what is more exciting is what remains hidden from view. The already mentioned infotainment system can now be operated with a few simple gestures, and it will make driving even easier for you a bunch of security systems. Among them, the traffic jam assistant must be singled out, which automatically accelerates, brakes and maintains the driving direction, while the driver can be completely relaxed and his only task is to hold the steering wheel in his hands. With the help of the front camera, the prediction of critical situations in the case of sand or other obstacles on the road is now even better. Experts estimate that with the help of these smart solutions number of accidents with a rush almost halved.

The biggest innovation of the new Golf presents a 1.5-liter TSI turbopetrol unit, which in the Bluemotion version has 130 horsepower. With the help of automatic cylinder deactivation, they reduced its average consumption by as much as 1 liter, but of course they would not have succeeded without a technological achievement, where they are the only ones so far who have found out how to completely turn off the engine when the gas is taken away. The latter was now only possible with hybrid engines, since electricity is still needed to operate many functions in the car, and with the help of batteries, this technology is also migrating to non-hybrid units. The latter will especially appeal to those who swear by driving in the so-called "ler" mode.
