Nikon Z 50: the ideal entry into the world of mirrorless photography

Nikon Z50

The choice for beginners has become a little more varied and interesting with the Nikon Z 50 camera.

The body of the Nikon Z 50 camera is very similar to last year's Z 6 and Z 7 models, but of course significantly smaller and lighter. Thankfully a new camera keep the Z bayonet, so it is also compatible with other Nikkor Z lenses. Of course, it will also be possible to use older F-mount lenses via the FTZ adapter. The color screen measures 3.2 inches, is sensitive to touch and can be switched all the way down, which vloggers in particular will be happy about (as long as they hold the Z 50 in their hand and not mount it on a pole).

With 50 it will be could also follow the eyes, which in combination with 209 focus points means that both portraits and family photos of playful children will always be sharp where they need to be. It will take care of fast action shooting at 11 frames per second. The biggest weakness of the new model is lack of stabilization of the sensor, which means that professional Nikkor Z lenses they will not be stabilized. They are only equipped with stabilization two new kit lenses: 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR.

Price wise, the Z 50 will try replace the D7500 model. This shouldn't be a problem since the Z is 50 better in every way from the mentioned model. He will be able to focus reliably even in dark situations, the ISO value will go all the way there up to 51,200, the built-in flash will also help slightly in the dark. Maybe it will be filmed in 4k/30 frames and 1080p/120 frames, no crop factor. Case Z 50 will cost in Slovenia 949 euros, but the most sensible purchase will be complete with housing and two new kit lenses, which will raise the price to 1,189 euros.
