Here comes the new Gran Turismo Sport game, which will be exclusively available on the PlayStation 4 console. It has one of the best graphics among games, but it is still quite far from real life. In order to blur the line between real reality and virtual reality, Nissan decided to rework the Nissan GT-R. It has been redesigned to the point that it can be controlled with Sony's DualShock 4 gamepad.
Unique Nissan GT-R is equipped with four robots, which take care of cornering, acceleration, braking and shifting. Commands are transmitted via the PlayStation gamepad, on which the robots react incredibly fast, practically instantly. They are installed in the car 6 powerful computers, which are able to update commands from the puck just 100 times per second. A microcomputer takes care of the connection between the DualShock pad and the computers in the car. You can control the car with the puck up to one kilometer away.
In order to prove that the "RC" Nissan GT-R really works, they put the puck behind it of Jann Merdenborough, who took the Nissan GT-R/C down the track in Silverstone. The robotized GT-R reached maximum speed 211 km/h and had an average speed of 122 km/h. The fastest lap time was minute and 17.47 seconds. Jann operated the car all the time from a helicopter flying over the racetrack. In case the driver lost control of the Nissan GT-R, two more were installed in the car 2 emergency systems on completely separate frequencies.
