A dog is man's best friend. Of course, there is nothing wrong with taking another furry pet with you on vacation. Since we practically can't imagine many holidays without four-legged friends, we like to take them with us. In Croatia, we can find a variety of accommodations where both you and your furry friend will be pampered. We checked the seven best dog-friendly hotels in Istria.

Winery & Design Hotel ROXANICH

The modern accommodation complex Wine & Heritage Hotel ROXANICH is located in the hinterland of Istria, specifically in Motovun - This offers a range of opportunities for walks and wanderings with your furry friend, and they are also welcome in the accommodation alone. There are also innovatively equipped rooms within the accommodation, in which even four-legged friends can be comfortably accommodated, while you can pamper yourself in the wellness area with a Turkish and Finnish sauna.

Hotel Ambassador – Liburnia

Opatija is known for being one of the furry friendly destinations. In addition to well-kept dog beaches, you can take your dog for a walk along the Lungomare promenade, all the way to Lovran. A variety of hotels also offer accommodation for furry family members, and Hotel Ambasador is one of the most modernly equipped. Located just above the promenade, it boasts the exceptional Five Elements Spa and Wellness Center where you can swim in the pools, relax in the spa area or work out in the gym.

Aparthotel Adeo

Due to its location, the aparthotel is an excellent address for families, and furry friends are also welcome with them. Within the accommodation there is a lush green garden, as well as a large outdoor pool and a sunny terrace with stunning views of the surroundings. This is perfect for walking, and the beach is less than a kilometer away on foot. The apartments boast balconies, all of them are also air-conditioned, so your pet will not be hot even on summer days.

Heritage Hotel San Rocco

In the picturesque Istrian village of Brtonigla, in an interesting building from the 18th century, there is a boutique hotel with a gourmet offer. The San Rocco restaurant prepares seasonal dishes from local produce, while the nearby Primizia Food and Wine restaurant serves everyday but no less delicious dishes. The surroundings offer a series of cycling and hiking trails that are worth visiting in the company of the furry friends, who will wait for you in your room in the evenings while you enjoy the hotel's wellness.

Boutique Hotel Mali Raj

The Mali Raj boutique hotel is located right next to the popular walking path between Opatija and Lovran. It is also popular among fur lovers because there is a sandy beach for dogs in the immediate vicinity, where your pet can also take a dip in the salty sea. The rooms are tastefully furnished with a view of the sea, and the hotel also has an indoor swimming pool. In the mornings you are spoiled with a continental breakfast, and in the restaurant you can taste local and sea dishes.

Meneghetti Wine Hotel and Winery – Relais & Chateaux

The luxurious hotel, which is located on a gigantic property covered with Istrian vineyards and olive groves, has also opened its doors to people with fur coats. These have excellent opportunities for walking in the surrounding area, and their owners can also decide to go cycling on the nearby trails. The typical Istrian house boasts luxuriously furnished rooms and villas, and both indoor and outdoor pools are available. A true feast for the taste buds is the gourmet restaurant Meneghetti, where the chefs use the highest quality local ingredients to create food based on the principle of healthy eating.

Rovinj is a coastal town that offers many opportunities for walking and cycling, as the Zlati rt National Park is just a step away. Lone is one of Rovinj's most recognizable hotels, and its doors are also wide open for pets.
