Opel Insignia with a new badge and even more fire

The successor to the Opel Astra OPC was eagerly awaited, but we got a big surprise. Instead of the crowded Astra, Opel introduced a more efficient, more precise and more toxic version of their larger Insignia sedan. From now on, it will carry the GSi label.

Opel Insignia GSi will be from Insignia Grand Sport punctuation in enough detail to let you know in an instant which one just drove past you. Sports version will have a modified design, suspension, brakes and an even more refined interior. You will recognize it from the outside by more aggressive bumpers, glittering 20-inch rims, sporty side skirts, red painted brake calipers and to the lovely last spoiler.

Opel claims that the Insignia GSi on Nürburgring faster than the previous generation OPC insignia, although the GSi has "le" instead of six four cylinders. And we can safely believe them, because it has four-cylinder turbo engine with two liters volume right 260 horsepower. In addition, GSi is for 160 kilograms lighter from OPC, has lower center of gravity and four-wheel drive, and thus more grip, which certainly contributes to a better result on the runway. It is also talked about diesel version, which should be available next year.

Inside they will reign sports leather seats, which will offer both comfort during long journeys and good sports grip during dynamic driving. They'll even have heating, cooling and massage, and each one will be specially made for the GSi-version of the Insignia and will also wear an embroidered GSi emblem. It will be presented to us live for the first time at Frankfurt Motor Show in the middle in September. Judging by the design of the current Insignia, there will be a sports version more eye candy.
