The Slovenian Society of Guardians of Seeds went to Kickstarter to get start-up funds for its gardening meter, which goes by the name of Ori. His task is to determine the optimal distances between the seeds of a dozen of the most frequently sown vegetables or crops, such as tomatoes, lettuce and beans. But that is far from all he can do. In addition to the template, there is also a colored legend that tells us which vegetable goes into which of the holes surrounded by a rainbow of triangles.
Slovenian Ori is a very useful wooden garden yardstick with thirteen holes that serve as template for planting vegetables. They are important when sowing distances between seeds and rows and while until now you have had to deal with what you knew and knew, Ori brings a solution that also brings playfulness. The holes indicate at what distance in each row the seed or seedling should be sown, and they inform us which one colored triangles whose legend lurks on the side.
Ori is a gardening tool that we use paired with a planting wedge. Place the meter on the ground, make a hole in it through a suitable hole, and then place the desired seed there. When we are done with the row, it is attached to the row cord with router at the end. We place this vertically in the ground so that the rope is taut and straight (see video and photo gallery).

The idea of Ori was planted years ago, and the product, sorry, the product, also serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care and gardening, which the Guardians of Seeds association wants to bring closer to the urban environment as well. It is made from homemade maple wood, and the name sila is symbolic, since it comes from the word Origo, which means origin in Latin. On Kickstarter Ori aims for at least 30 thousand dollars, with which, among other things, the society wants to get back on its feet Cooperative Origa.
