After the Golden Globes were awarded on January 7th, which is considered a fairly accurate prediction of the Oscars, now it's the turn of the most prestigious film awards in the world. The 2019 Oscar nominations have been announced for Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and Kumail Nanjiani (Love at First Sickness). Is the musical drama Bohemian Rhapsody, which celebrated at the Golden Globes, also among the nominees? Read on to see who will compete for the prestigious film awards and when the 2019 Oscars will be held.
February 24 we will witness already at the 91st Academy Awards, which are considered the most prestigious film awards in the world. Award Oscars 2019 will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, the host of the evening is not yet known or rather, we can expect that it won't be there at all. The original choice, Kevin Hart, was ousted from hosting the evening due to his history of inappropriate comments on the subject of homosexuality.
The Oscars will be awarded in 24 categories, but of course we all expect the golden statuette for the 'big 5': best director, best film, best female lead, best male lead and best screenplay (best original or best adapted screenplay). But first, let's take a look Oscar nominations 2019.
